Conversation I just had with my 7 year old daughter...

She had some very pointed questions about overhearing my husband and I discuss the division going on in our country.

Actually the full conversation isn’t needed here, what is needed is my final words to her.

“Baby girl, no matter what someone looks like, no matter the color of their skin, no matter the beliefs they have, you are to treat them with kindness and love. Regardless if they believe in Jesus, you treat them with the love of Jesus, that sweet girl is how He calls us to be and how we represent our belief in Him. If someone says they follow Jesus and they don’t love like this, then they actually don’t truly believe in Him in their heart. Does that make sense, do you understand?”

She said with a smile, “I understand mommy.”

Friends let us remember as believers:

It doesn’t matter what someone looks like, you love them and treat them with kindness because of your heart for Jesus.

It doesn’t matter is they are left or right or pro-choice or pro-life, if they identify one way or the other, of they fall somewhere in the middle, you love them and treat them with kindness because of your heart for Jesus.

It doesn’t matter if they believe in Jesus, you love them and treat them with kindness because YOU DO BELIEVE in Jesus.

We don’t have to run around pointing out everyone’s sin, because God already sees it.

What we can do, is run around loving everyone as Jesus would. Imagine what an eye opener that would be for the world of Christ’s continued work on earth if every believer loved like Jesus.
